• Operation Christmas Drop

    This is really neat:

For more than 60 years, Airmen have flown over the islands of Micronesia around Christmas, dropping donated goods in makeshift bundles to help more than 30,000 islanders spread across tiny islands adding up to an area roughly the combined size of Alaska and Texas. The yearly endeavor, called Operation Christmas Drop, is the longest-running humanitarian airlift mission in the world.

  • Merry Christmas From MILcentric

    MILcentric-Merry-Christmas

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.  I have had a lot of fun posting on this site the last few months, and even though hardly anyone comments I see the numbers increasing so people must be enjoying it.  Thanks so much for spreading the word!  I may try to provoke more participation later one, but in the end it’s all a matter of opinion when dealing clothing… do you like the item?  are you OK with the price? etc… nothing too ground breaking to discuss.  Feel free though to comment whenever you want, and know that I read every one of them.

I’ll be continuing posting in 2013, and you can even look forward to the first MILcentric related product which will be sold through my other division ENDO Apparel.

    Thanks again!

  • Mastermind x Alpha Industries M-51 Field Coat

    Another collab between the two:

    Mastermind-Alpha-Industries-M51-Field-Coat

I posted about the N-3B parka they worked on together a few days ago.

The ¥44,100 ($523 USD) collab again looks startlingly similar to the standard M-51 field coat that Alpha Industries already sells for only $176.  Basically all they did with mastermind was remove the upper pockets and add a few sew on patches.

I’m a big fan of collaborations when it brings out the best of both brands, but if it’s just basic things being changed, and as a result tripling the price because of the “exclusivity”… I am not on board.

ZOZOVilla has these if you’re interested.

  • Bullet Holes Rings From Silver And Gold Bars

Flaunt your wealth and love for firearms on your finger:

    Bullet-Hole-Ring-1Bullet-Hole-Ring-3Bullet-Hole-Ring-2Bullet-Hole-Ring-4

Made by Swiss designer Johanna Dahm.

They look quite neat. I can’t see the comfort level being that high though considering the edges are quite thin and jagged looking.

The price is not listed, but since these are 10g bullion bars I can tell you that they alone go for ~$600.  Add what the artist thinks her time is worth (which is usually ridiculously high) to that and you’ve got yourself quite an expensive piece of jewelry to show off.

  • Combat Cigar Humidor

A rugged place to keep your camouflage cigars at an optimal humidity level:

Smoking will kill you, but if you’re going to do it anyway it might as well be cigars, they might as well be camouflage, and you might as well store them in such a badass reporosed

$70 over at Combat Humidor.  There is also a $100 option where you can get custom stenciled artwork rather than their logo.
